What setup did you use for the guages. Also how did you wire it.

They are from Dakota Digital, and I wired it stand alone with its own sensors and control box that is included.

Hey man you PM box is full! Wanted to ask you a few questions about your swap. Mainly what mounts you used if you did the 1 inch set back plates or not . Shoot me a PM when you get a chance.

How about some shots of those gauges? I saw them on the website but wondered if they were as nice as they looked.

I have really suffered severely on this thread. Maybe this coming weekend when I get home I will throw up some updates.

I took the car down to Florida to visit friends and my parents. I had 1800miles on the build and just today on my way back to my parents I hit 3000 miles on the build.

Honestly I haven't had many issues, The car is extremely sound and I have not been nice to the stock 7.5 posi and ironically its been holding strong. I haven't been power shifting but the Monster clutch grabs so hard its very difficult to not get a bark from the tires on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift on WOT pulls.

Also the motor plans have changed, last month I scored a screaming deal on a MP112 Magnacharger kit and plan to throw that on with a 3.0 pulley. Hoping for 450whp out of this little 5.3. Once I get home from this FL trip the order goes out for more fuel system parts, gauges, misc stuff for the install and then a tune. I was getting ready to buy a 9in from Moser but this Maggie popped up and had to grab it up so I hope the rear can hold the power till I can afford a rear and associated rear suspension upgrades I have been putting off. Atleast until the new year, Once new years hits I am on hold for long term work on the car as I will be rolling into my transfer season and I don't need the car torn apart making things more difficult to move.

Man o man, I really need to update this. I have no pictures of the interior changes, Dakota Digital gauges work fantastic and recently added a 3 gauge pillar mount from Gbodyparts and used glow shift wideband, fuel pressure and boost/vacuum in matching red.

But here is a few shot of the blower going on, I now have 4500miles on the swap and 440miles with the blower installed.

Here is the final ride height I was able to manage to get out of her.

Then I took the car on a 2200mile round trip to Florida for 2 weeks and while I was down there I had the windows tinted which was much needed and I feel makes the car look better.

After I got back I decided the engine despite being a junkyard motor with 140k on it that I re-sealed and put a new timing chain and oil pump in was ready to get more power and snagged this up in a deal.

I then tore the topend out, also replaced the 190LPH fuel pump I was running with a Aeromotive Stealth 340LPH and installed a Aeromotive A1000 fuel pressure regulator with boost reference. I sadly have no pics of the fuel parts. I also pulled the radiator and dropped the heat exchanger in, surprisingly I still have room for a A/C condenser!

After intake gasket issues and a lot of cursing and swearing I finally got the blower dropped onto the motor. Apparently Magnacharger requires special and specific intake manifold gaskets to be used. I took my stock ones and trimmed them to fit which took awhile since they are plastic and rubber.

The next problem at hand was hood fitment, in the future I need to either buy aftermarket lower motor mounts (clamshell and frame) which will buy me some more clearance and correct some tailshaft angle issues I have. But for now this is how close it was.

Luckily for me a few years back I snagged up a Goodmark 2.5in steel cowl, I needed to trim some of the support structure and cowl assembly out to gain some room. It has since been re-painted flat black and is not as ugly as this pic.

And after everything was completed I heat wrapped the intake to help the blower keep the IAT's down which is a flaw in this particular blower.

A few short days after I got the blower done I had also check for leaks and then headed to the dyno.

She surprised the hell out of me with a 426rwhp and 416wtq, definitely time for heads, force inducted cam, and 90mm TB and try to crack 525whp in the spring. But for now it does the trick putting a smile on my face, giving my stock 10bolt hell and surprising people.

I also couldn't forget where the car came from and to confuse some unsuspecting people I just put this decal on the car.

And last this is the only gauge shots I can find, I will take better ones with the pod and such later on.

Really like the progress made with this car. Also really like the fact Jameson is driving the wheels off of it now!

Been fun watching it all come together, can't wait to see what comes next.

I love the gauges!! I won't swap any into a Monte due to the grand prix dash swap, but I will surely spring for a set for the Chevelle. After seeing your swap and numbers, I am really considering an LS swap into something.

I'm sure its a trek for you being in NC but you should bring this thing up to Ocean City, MD in the spring for cruise week. You'd have a blast messing around with some mustangs and others. Overall good time either way. Might confuse a few people if mine is done by that time being silver as well, lol

The car will be up that way come spring time, I have a few friends up there. Would of been up sooner but I want to get a rear end that can handle the power before I can't start launching and beating it down to show some mustangs what's up.

How was your fuel system setup when you first did the ls swap. Was that a truck intake on your car with a return style fuel system. Im about to do an ls swap and im trying to figure everything out.
