Well, I wanted to make a poll, but I cant see the option.

What do you think of the wheels?

Personally, I dont think a whole lot of them.

Their OK but I am putting on IROCS soon, once I get off my lazy a$$ and strip the clear coat off of them and bead blast them.

I think they really suit the car, but they have to be in good shape - as they do tend to get a lot of build up on them if they werent maintained through the years.... lots of other wheels look great on the Montes too though!

For a factory rim they are nice. I have seen some very nice cars here on the site that, with some detail work, made them look outstanding. But thats my own view. I still remember the Pontiac Trans Am with the Honeycomb rims and the Plain Ralley Rims Camaros had in the 70's

Remember that this was back when cars didnt have wide tires.

I think they look great on original or restored cars but not for me in the long run. A set of 16" or 17" wheels with the car dropped in that G-machine styling is a little more my taste.

As far as factory wheels go, I think they are some of the better wheels Chevy put on a car, especially during the 80's. I never cared for the 83-85 SS wheels though. I have had mine refinished and they look nice on a black car. But they are still factory wheels in a day and time where wheel and tire combos are endless. I am still surprised what nice factory SS wheels go for at car shows these days.

As mentioned... for a FACTORY wheel, they are very nice. I still love 'em. Don't like the brake dust, but they are easy enough to clean!

They scream MONTE CARLO SS!They were only used on our cars, except for a version on an early 80s Z28,with different backspacing.I bought some redone ones from Mikes Montes last year and they are beautiful!I also like the reissued slot mags from American Racing. The only problem with chromed wheels on our cars is the lack of silver or chrome to match the wheels,ya know?

I like them. I've never seen a 80's camaro with them. I like TT2's too but they're everywhere. I go to shows and 20% of the cars have them.

I've got a blue 84 so mine are a little different, but what I like about mine is that it's got a similar blue tone that matches the car. It's subtle, but anyone looking for details will be able to tell.

To every one who doesn't like them: Give them to me!!!! \:\) Seriously, I really do like them. The sharp lines really go with the crisp lines of the Monte Carlo.

They do look good when all cleaned up. I plan on having mine redone and taking off the american racing rims that are on it now.

For a stock wheel they are pretty nice, IMO. I had them on my LS and liked them, as well as my SS for awhile.

I've heard things from they are getting harder to find to seeing them go for dirt cheap prices online and at swap meets...for what I see them go for, I'm keeping mine as they are in *pretty nice* shape and have good tires on them with NOS center caps as spare wheels for either Monte .

I like them but as stated before, they look very nice on a 100% stock SS. The rims don't look as nice when the stripes are removed and they look best on black cars, at least to me.
