I've got a 350 block and crank from a canadian police 74' Nova with standard bore dome top TRW L2252A pistons .220 or .200 dome not sure on that. A Performer RPM intake and some stock 76cc 350 heads from a 71' chevelle for now just to get started. Aftermarket heads are getting there AFR maybe tips on that to? I am thinking about a Howards duration 285/289, .480/.488 lift cam correct me if this is bad combo, i live in Norway and i dont want to buy the wrong stuff. I just want to know what i need to make this work good with the 76cc and even better with the aftermarket ones tongue I am a 18 year old noob so hang with me on this smile And of cource i must beef the 200-4R that is mildly thrashed from last time tongue any tips on parts for that? Of cource again what need and not need smile

I'm no expert but I have built a few good engines in my 41 yrs. That cam duration is way too much unless you're going to the race track and spinning that engine to 7500rpm. What are your intentions with the car?

Is the cam duration @ .050 or advertised?

Questions:
What are you going to do with the car?
Daily driver, Street strip, Strip - Race only?

I also question the fuel you have in Norway.
Would US pump 93 octane, be equal to what's available over there?

I would have to believe that's advertised duration.

I use the next size bigger cam from howards in my race car .488/.502 and that sucker is gutless below 3500rpm... Once you hit 3500rpm holy crap does it pull, but idle is also very very choppy with those circle track cams as well.

The specs on the cam hes looking at intimidator is

Lift Advertised @ .050 Seperation
.488.488 289 291 235 237 106 Hyd.

Ok 235/237 sounds much better for a street cam. But the compression is going to be up in the high 11 range. With the cam he had he doesn't need that much compression. I would open the chambers up on the heads and/or thick head gaskets to help lower the compression ratio.

I have no idea about any of this tongue http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HRS-112141-10/ This was the one i tought about. We have 95 and 98 octane so 93 would be about right i usually fill 98 on this sucker 305 with spun rod bearings white smoke and overheating engine and trans... i've got some work to do. I am going for street/strip and a future in autocross. I want it to be a daily driver to smile not to hard to drive but the toyota will most commonly relieve her from her duties.
