I would get some edlebrock tes headers best bang for the buck that cam really want change the idle and performance .

.. X 2... A cam around the size of a #1102 204/214 or slightly bigger up to 210/216 max (available in other brands) is good for stock 305 heads... although the #1102 204/214 isn't much bigger than the stock SS 202/206 cam...

.. A 212/220 to #1103's 214/224 works well with ported or better heads and headers...

.. X 2... Headers and freeflowing true dual exhaust (if not emissions testing constrained) also frees up lots of power lost to stock exhaust system... especially when increasing cam size and/or improving the heads...

.. I see the K1102 cam/lifters Kit is on rare sale right now...

have headers to 2 flowmaster tens.... want a very choppy idle and its would be nice for some more hp in future i am am getting the air gap from edlebrock and the 650 carb hope this helps with helping me lol

i had a 2601 air gap,eddy performer plus cam 214/214 .442/.442 lift. long tube headers and true duals.reworked non-ccc Qjet and distributor. on my 305 when i first got my car.and it woke it up really good.

As long as you're that far into it, get better heads, or yours done better too.
