Don't feel bad John, it's totally out of your control. Bruton has money, and isn't scared to spend it. I honestly do hope that Monte's are out on the track.

I still remember being there when they were hauling in the dirt for the World of Outlaws race at Bristol. Talk about money being spent. The crew he has working for him are gifted folks. The dirt track at CMS is amazing! Then he added Z-max. As I said, he has money and enjoys spending it for the fans.

Bruton Smith called me, he said he likes the idea of staining the track red, white, and blue. But, he is going to wait until after the Fall race before staining!

Again yesterday, I had a brief discussion with my contact at BMS. She told me that they are almost finished putting the track back together. She also said we are good to go for our visit and track laps! So, that is good news indeed.

Yes, very good news. Now, if it can just be 50s and cloudy, it will be the perfect day.

To All NMCOA Members that Pre-Registered for the Convention/Monte Carlo Nationals;

Today, I mailed important information about our visit to Bristol Motor Speedway about a slight time change, directions to the track and parking area, and what to expect upon our arrival.

Please read the information as soon as you receive it......

Just a FYI about red light camera's and speed camera's.
Johnson City, TN has red light camera's every where. There is one at the hotel entrance.
I do not know John's directions to the track.
But if you are at the hotel and turn left to go to the speedway you will pass through a small town called Piney Flats, TN.
The speed limit will drop from 55mph to 45mph when you hit the town limits. There is 3 red lights in this 45mph area.
After the 2nd light there is a speed camera in the median. Most people speed up after the speed camera, but the speed limit is still 45mph until you pass through the 3rd red light.Once you pass through the 3rd light, you will start down hill and the speed limit will go back to 55mph at the bottom.

Yup! Right down the road at Smokey Bones.

There is a Dunkin Donuts about 2 miles from the hotel, and a Krispy Kreme about 4 miles.

It will be a little tricky as none of the rooms overlook the show field however i have requested an end room with the hallway window facing it so if they come thru i may still be able to do it.

Tyler and I will be rolling in sometime Thursday afternoon. Look for the Keystones. We stick out like sore thumbs! smile

On a side note...The car is a mess. We're in the middle of redoing a kitchen and planning for a move. Just no time lately to give the car any attention. We'll be in the park n party section running around looking for project ideas though for the car!

Please stop by and say hi. Always cool to put faces to names.
