Interior is not mint as he said, the upper door panels are vinyl reproductions. That's the only pic I looked at.

Aside from the fact that what he is saying is B.S most likely, The fact remains that even IF true the one thing that would have made it unique was the engine.

My thoughts keep going to that and wonder if that setup can be called a factory stroker. Isnt the LT1 a 350 and what was the size of the LT1 heads combustion chamber. This kinda intrigues me as I want to build up a 305 anyways...

And if the documentation of the car proved it was installed that way and only 150 were made and He knew this, he ought to be kicking himself for selling the engine (blown engines can be repaired, and a block with the same casting number could of been used) for 100$, I know I would be, lol...

92 - '93 GM's generation II engine, the LT1, was introduced in '92 in the corvette and was rated at 300hp.
If this car was ordered in 1984, just where exactly did the LT1 heads magically appear from?

This guy just has a lot of things twisted around, and that's why he thinks he's right. He was told stuff that's partially correct, and he just didn't remember or translate it correctly. Add some embelishment and this is what you get. Here's my take:

LT1 heads - he means Crossfire heads, as the original L69 advertisements and magazine articles were stating these heads were borrowed from the Crossfire Z28 engines of the time. Same with the high-flow Corvette style catalytic converter. And the 305 shares the same stroke as the 350, but with a smaller bore - not a "stroked" engine.

He probable did get the car from an ex GM employee who ordered the car late in 1984 as a 1985 model. He simply ordered it with minimal options and A/C delete - maybe, in fact, with intentions of racing the car at some point, in some sort of "sportsman/stock" series. Not to be confused with the IROC series Camaros which were identically prepared full race cars.

1 of 150 cars: He's probably mixed up with 1 of 200 Aerocoupes to meet NASCAR requirements for 1986.

So you see, there are many subtle things in his story that he has confused with the truth. He's an a$$ for his responses on ebay and emails, but the bottom line is - he is one of those know-it-all types that none of us will ever convince, so why even try. We all know he's an idiot. And I don't think anybody in their right mind will buy the car based on his stories alone. Maybe for parts or fixer-upper, but not for top dollar as an ex-race car...I hope!...

HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE TRANS AM SERIES??WHERE THEY RACE ALL STOCK AND EQUALLY MATCHED CARS,SO ITS REALLY JUDGED ON DRIVER SKILLS AND NOT HOW FAST THE CAR GOES!!!!IF YOU READ THE ADD COMPLETELY FROM TOP TO BOTTOM YOU WILL SEE WHERE IT HAS RACED,WHAT CAME IN THE MOTOR,AND WHY THIS SPECIAL ORDERED CAR IS BARE BONES OR AS YOU SAY A PLAIN JANE.IT STILL WAS SPECIAL ORDERED IN 1984 AND WHETHER OR NOT IT HAS ALL THE OPTIONS DOESNT MEAN THAT ITS NOT A RARE CAR.SPECIAL ORDER IS SPECIAL ORDER AND IN MY EYES THAT MAKES THIS CAR WORTH MORE THAN YOUR AVERAGE MONTE.AND WHY DO YOU KEEP HARRASSING ME,EITHER BID ON THE AUCTION,ASK A REAL QUESTION,OR SHUT UP.

don't you need a roll cage to race in the trans am series, so were is the roll cage in this car?

this guy don't know his head from is a$$

hmmmmm I've been to the glen.. all the cars there are required to have cages, and harness.. no exceptions...

whoever up there said the upper door panels are wrong for the car or "vinyl reproductions" must not have an 85 monte ss.. they had vinyl, as does my elky..

anybody ever heard of TCI doing anything for the factory before?????? me neither...

i'm sure it was special ordered as a low option flyer... and the original owner probably spruced things up a bit.. LT1's were also around in the early 70's, with 64cc chamber heads, but that would make the already low compression dished pistoned 305 even more doggy than it already is.. I don't believe he's making it up, but I think he's repeating the exaggerated story he's been fed on the car.... I personally could care less what he thinks it is.. if it's a clean shell, my friend's gonna jump all over it.. and it's not too far from home either....

Can LT1 heads fit on a gen I small block???? I always thought the bottom ends were different...

And I agree, the motor is no longer in the car, so it doesnt matter if it came stock with a ZL1, its motorless.

edit: didnt see teh second page... I knew something was up with his factory '84 LT1 heads... hahahahaha

I bet he thinks all the flashy colors he used for lettering in the auction is going to help him sell it some how.

I dunno, but I bought my car with 88k miles, zero rust, and running like a top for 3k. Albeit, ive put another 6k in it, but it didnt NEED any of that work.

My comment.
Your car has possibilities. I'm wondering why you are making claims that are not backed up by documentation? Thats probably why you have so many negative comments. Forget about what the last owner said. Hearsay to a potental buyer. Parts that are nolonger there don't mean anything anymore. Cars like yours sell all the time. It might indeed be a "special option car" but without more proof, your've lost credibility.
