I think I seen it, not 100% sure. Is it on the Spike channel?

The 502 was taken out for another project. I think it went over to Extreme 4x4.

With the Monte, I think they said it was an 86 in one project and an 85 in the other. I can't remember what they said or what it actually was. It's been a while since I've seen them.

I think the 454 actually made more power. I didnt like the exhaust on it with the 502. They fixed it with the 454. I dont think they ever did a pay-off drive with the 454/2004r combo though.

I would stick in a 6spd with a 9" rear-end. That way there is No Doubts!

In that video at 00:56, whats the name of that duct mounting thing that fits in the headlight bucket. You can see it in the bottom right hand corner. They fit in into the headlight, then connect the ducting to it.

I watch HP TV all the time, got both episodes recorded. The 200R4 tranny they used is crazy expensive. I would build a TH400 and buy a Gear Vender unit before I pay they much for a tranny. JMO

They took out the 502 because they wanted it for another project and the 454 from the "battle of the big blocks" was making alot more power anyway.

I kept trying to see the pay off drive myself but I only saw a few snipets of tape. They showed it blowing by the camera car when it had the 502 in it. They may offer a book on the build. It was an 85.

.. I think they show the Monte driving more in the beginning of the video adding the air ducting...

.. I wouldn't cut up the stock headlight buckets, seems like there would be a way to just put the funnels in without the buckets... then it could be converted back to stock if you wanted...

.. The same 454 is built in 4 videos... first as a full budget re-build... 2nd as a full performance re-mod... then both builds are abbreviated into the 454 vs 460 Ford comparison video... budget and performance 460 full videos also... then in 4th video the 454 gets a milder street hydraulic roller cam before going into the Monte... the dyno of that cam produces a much fatter torque curve...
