Well i took out my interior and this is what i found, drivers side floor was replaced by someone else but coated with some cheap stuff so the rear is crap. The passenger side was the worst had some surface rust up front and the rear is completly gone. Im guessing its cause my t-tops leak so all the water accumaltes in the carpet. I used a wire wheel and some RUST-MORT http://semproducts.com/Catalog.asp?prod=164.

Tomorrow ill be going to the junk yard to get me some rear floors.

passenger side rear

passenger side front before RUST-MORT:

passenger side front after RUST-MORT:

here is a pic of when i changed one, i cut just before the brace on the floor and welded it there. on the rocker panel side there is some extra bracing for the body mount if im not mistaken, on the transmission tunnel side u need to cut below the seat belt bolt otherwise u will hit the backing plate behind it

Rust sucks but good thing you are taking care of it before it gets any worse. Was your car always in CA? I know t-tops obviously can leak and cause that but that seems excessive unless you guys have more rain than I'm thinking of.

I have the driver side rear floor bucket if you're interested. I purchased a brand new half floor and only needed from the floor brace forward.

Hey Efrain,

Heres the link to the Chassis Saver. http://www.savesautobodysupply.com/chasissaver.html

I bought it from a local paint store and just brushed it on or you can spray it on but i dont have the tools to do that. I bought the satin black color.
