My 83-85 Prototype tail lights are now up for grabs! $75 shipped.

They are not show quality, but are good and servicable. Look at the pics in my previous posts!

PM me if you want them. USA lower 48 only! Money orders accepted.

Found this after I made a post.Perhaps someone here might be able to give me bucket dimensions of the 87-88 tail lights or be willing to sell me a tail that has the lens broken.

Here's what I plan on experimenting with.

Hi Redline,

I'm not clear about how you get all three lighting functions to work (brakes, turn, and backup.) I take it you kept the stock backup lights, but used the LED assembly for brakes and turn? Does these account for the three conductors in your harness? If so, my guess is that "T", "S", and "G" markings in your harness are for Turn, Stop, and Ground. Right?

Also, it would seem that with a little trimming on the OD, there's space for two of these LED assemblies within the MCSS tailight housing, right?

Thanks,
MAP

Map.....The T -S -G does stand for "turn" "Stop" and "ground".

I used the "stock TOP bulb", middle was the LED set and the bottom was the "Stock" backup light. You could install an 1156 LED bulb in the socket if you wished.

I DO NOT think you could get a second LED Light part to fit inside the housing bucket without massive side removal....then it may not fit back into place on the car????

My 87 lights have been in over two years and have not given me one moment of trouble. You do need to run an electronic flasher for sure!

I still have those 83-85 LED lights up for grabs.

Anybody do something NEW, they would like to share??

There were several ideas kicked about. Have any of these come to fruition?

Don't know for sure??

Got mine from Advance auto off the rack, it was Yellow in color and stated for use with LED lighting? Has worked flawless for over 2 years now!
