Heh, Brings back memories. I bought a used 71 Pinto in 73. It had only 2 options which were front disc brakes and the big engine. The standard engine was a 1.6L pushrod Ford Cortina engine and the big one was a 2.0L overhead cam engine from Ford of Germany with 115hp if I remember correctly. With a JCWhitney "dynotune" kit it ran pretty good since it had a 3.55 rear with 13" tires, 4 speed transmission and it only weighed 2000 lbs. I bought it before the oil embargo of 73 and drove it a year. Then I sold it for about $100 more than I paid for it. It was not a luxury car, but it was fun to drive.

Great April fools joke. A friend of mine had one full of rust that he used to pic up firewood and junkyard parts. Went good in the snow with snow tires to. Only paid $200 for it.

I had a '74 Pinto Wagon with the 2.3L engine. It was a lot if fun. Put some nitrous on it and it went 14.20.

Well went out and sold the Monte today and got myself a great deal on an old Pinto HP Muscle Car. Anyone have any good tips on switchin the gas tank to the front? I want to see the explosion in front of me instead of looking in my rear view.

Has anyone found an aftermarket manufacturer who will produce the much needed seal for the back glass yet?
