Great Taste!!! ---- Less Filling!!!
I think that both answers are correct. With or without vents, It was a G-body part, so it looks as it could have been on there (IMO).
It just depends on if you like it or not.
I love it on the GNX, If I put those on my SS I'll get even more people asking "is your car a Grand National?!" - LOL

I have been asked if it was a Buick. I don't know about your areas but around here everybody has the stick on type vents on all kinds of cars. I'll be taking the fenders off in the next few weeks.

I am going to hold off for now but may reconsider down the road some day. Likes and dislikes change over the years, if I still like the idea a few years from now I may try it. Most on here don't seem to like it, so I'm going to trust the majority. They'll be harder to remove once installed than to install them in a few years once I'm sure it's what I want. Thanks guys.

If they were put on the correct side and in the right place (not right on the body line) I'd like them. They are kind of a subtle touch that could be made useful if they're functional.

I've got vents from a Firebird that I'm putting on the Malibu... obviously I don't care if people think my Malibu is a Trans Am. smile

As long as you remember that all that really matters is whether YOU like 'em or not.... After all, it is your MC wink.

Tony, not sure what year of vents you are using on the Malibu, but there was a Malibu at a show years ago that had them installed from the 82-87 Trans Am. They were mounted just behind the front wheels and looked pretty good as they were not all that noticable.......RatPack......

I haven't looked through them all, but maybe something from here might be good?

I got the vents to let hot air out and that is what they did perfectly. Yeah, on the wrong sides. I just went with the body lines and thatís how I cut. Wrong side or not, I think those vents made the Aerocoupe look bad as hell and really stand out!

I still thank Randy for giving me the heads up on getting the hot air out the engine bay after I put the TES headers on.

When you stand beside the car you can feel a good amount of heat escaping. So doing 35+mph you just have to imagine how much heat is leaving the engine bay so your car isnít sucking hot header air.

Why do we have pics of two cars with the vents mounted backwards and none with them on correctly. I think this is skewing my opinion. I need more evidence

There isn't 2 cars, they are the same car. I traded with Aceprowler. I changed wheels and took all the stickers off. Mine are on backwards and the GN they are on the right way.

Buick GNX vents only look good on a GNX period. Lately lots of owners have been putting fender vents on cars that never came with them. This is a trend that needs to go away. I saw a 67 Camaro with late 70's Z28 fender vents glued on the fenders of the car. Ugly, you bet. The only ones that might look good are the ones made on the late 70's, early 80's Corvettes but I'd have to see that for myself before passing final judgment. Besides to make them functional your going to have to perform some surgery on your Monte's fender.
I will say this; Chevy should have offered fender vents on the SS but they choose not to in the end.
Currently various styles of fender vents are showing up on all makes of cars that never had them but most of these are ornamental. I guess they ran out of dub wheels that day the person was buying the car!
