Look what I did this week! Finally finished up my dual snorkel. Used spot welds and all. Looks very factory, just need the new black paint to faid a little and it will look just like it has been there forever and that new hose.

Just keep an eye on your a/c lines. The new flange seems to rub the line.

Nice work - I've always liked factory appearing mods smile

Thanks, It is clear of the a/c lines, it does look close in the pic. The only thing it is really close to is the vac ball.

It appears like you had to angle the added snorkel down a bit to get it to clear the master cylinder. What did you have to do (if anything) to get the plastic part to fit the core support? Move or remove any thing there?

And is that a stock piece of ducting?

I like this mod and want to try to do it myself this coming winter, especially after I discovered the factory air cleaner was restrictive enough to eat up 15 hp and 15 ft lbs....

That looks great, the way it should have been from the factory.

The parts came from another factory air cleaner. It is basically a copy from the 84 Z28 setup. You do have to angle the drivers side down to clear everything on that side. Just like the z28 one was. Yes,it is a stock duct from the other side and bracket also. Did not have to move anything, got it to fit even with the grand prix bars in the front. Also on the pre heater on the drivers side, I did remove that and did a small blockoff plate so only hot air from the drivers side. If you want some more detailed pics, I can get them, just let me know.
