I want to make my rear end a posi and keep the gears that I have, what cars/trucks have a carrier that will bolt in without alot of hassle?

I know that Mid 80's S-10 pick ups and blazers have the same rear. (7.5") Some came with factory posi units. I'd check around at your local salvage yards. You can probably pick up a posi chunk pretty cheap. You might have to do bearings while you have it apart. It all depends on how many miles your rear has on it.

Sounds like a axle and carrier swap to me, if they all will fit?

The axles and carrier out of an s 10 should fit no problem, but id keep the open diff before putting in an old gov-loc out of an s 10, dont swap diffs and what not unless its an actuall limited slip. we just took the gov loc out of my buddys s dime today and put an open diff in it, as this is the 3rd axle shaft hes broken in it, and it only has a carbed 2.8, wich are only like 105hp
