Interstate.

It takes a good deal of physical courage to ride a horse. This, however, I have. I get it at about forty cents a flask, and take it as required. ~Stephen Leacock

We sell "Heritage" at work and have VERY few problems with them, so far the one in my SS is almost four years old and never given a problem.

Interstate sells great batterys also. Don't get the cheapest battery you can though, interstate sells a cheap battery and a better battery, always get the better battery(Megatron IIRC).

Get a group 78 battery, they will fit right in and have more cranking amps than the group 75 that our cars call for.

I just replaced my dead Duralast Gold with an Optima Red Top. Pricey but worth it IMO. Tired of leaking batteries.

I've always used the Duralast Gold 6 year battery. I haven't paid for a battery in years. If you take care of it, it will last a good while. Keep water in it, and don't drain it with a bunch of crap and long starts.

I have an Optima Red top in my Cherokee, and an Exide Orbital battery in the Monte. The Orbital is kinda like Exide's version of the Optima - you can see some specs here - http://www.exide.com/products/automotive/exide_select_orbital.html . Both have been great to me.

Sure you can spend as much as you want on a battery, but I'm that bargain shopper. I use wal-mart batteries for less than $50 with a 1 yr warr. If your car is running as it should be it will start up within a few seconds of cranking so no need to be able to power a small town w/my battery. Of course it's all about the money you have or can spend at the time. If you can swing $200 for a battery, then go that route. You most likely will have less troubles than the guy who spends $50, but I spent $50, and 7,000 miles later it has never left me stranded. Maybe I'll just take mine back to wal-mart and exchange it to freshen it up......

optima in the monte, picked it up at sams club and saved a few bucks, same in my truck, and delco in the trailblazer(it came in it) I personally love the optima batteries, but you can get a bad one! i have bought two back to back that were bad.

Walmart Everstart Maxx in every vehicle I own. I keep the receipt and three years later they keep giving me new batteries. No questions asked. Just a quick test. It cranks em all great. I used to get the combination side and top posts so that I can run my amps off of the top post. It also helps that every base in the states has a Walmart near by. They all honor the warranty with a reciept.

I sware by my walmart everstart in the monte fires it up to problem ever after sitting for a few months. My dad has used the deep cycle everstarts in his travel tralier for years nothing else lasts nearly as long or held the charge as good went through a lot of other brands finally bought those for the hell of it has worked great ever since
