I didn't want to hijack another thread. this is related to a front end rebuild I have most of the parts. was looking through an old gm parts book and they list a front spring insulator. The part number is still good.energy suspension does not list them. I don't want to take apart the front end and find that I need to replace them and have to wait with everything aparts.anyone who has done a ft end rebuild please let me know if the insulators are there . I will order them ahead of time if they are. thank you Steve

try your local Chevy dealer or a spring/suspension shop.

Mine were pretty flat and worthless. They r more for noise than anything else. To kkep the spring from metal to metal contact inside the frame. My new ones came from the dealer (had to order of course) and look like a piece of tire thats been cut off. I just used electrical tape to hold them on top of the spring during install.

I bought mine on ebay. I did the same thing (taped them to the top of the spring).

I taped my factory isolators like everyone else, but if yours are bad, just use a piece of rubber hose.

I would use something, I just put mine back together without the isolators in there and it sounds like theres a damn mouse under my hood. Like said before it just to prevent metal to metal contact. I would take mine back apart and put new ones in if it wasn't such a bitch to install the front springs

there is no energy number because, just like bump stops, they are in a "universal" part of the catalog. You order them by dimension more or less, but I can assure you, energy carries something that will work just fine.

sick speed, I called energy suspension on 4/13/07 and spoke with tech support. they really don't list anything for front spring insulators even in the "universal" section.I even purchased a pair from the dealer for more accurate demensions. the tech said that there were no plans in the short term(6 months)for these. don't know if this will clear things up or not. You need to speak to someone else there then. Not only do they make them but they make them in either red or black and different thicknesses.

In fact I do not need them anymore since I went to coilovers, you can have them for $15.00 shipped.

I got energy suspension spring insulators in my front end, 9-6120 and 9-6101 are good numbers. The 6120 needed the inside hole trimmed to fit over the tabs on the frame to center the spring.
