I'm in desperate need of a new hood insulator. There used be some embroidered ones available but I cant seem to locate them anymore.
Anyone know where to get either a new one of an embroidered one? I need to get this ordered ASAP!

Not having one may cause your paint to fade due to excess heat.

I got mine from Rick(I think) at http://www.carmotorsports.com and I love it! I got the dark orange Monte Carlo with the big 'SS' embroidery for my Goodmark hood.

Kinda pricey and shipping is high too (shipping for mine was $60), but I guess you get what you pay for. If you get one, be careful when you install the knonk-in screw things (don't know what they are called, but they are the things that hold the insulator to the hood), I cracked one when I installed mine (oughta get a new one, but haven't yet).

All-in-all, I would recommend the company and the hood insulators they make, very nice quality.

Great, thanks guys, just what I was looking for. You were not kidding about them being pricey! I'll call and order one tomorrow and what shipping costs. Unfortunately a lot of companies gouge you on shipping to make up another 10-15% profit.

GM still has the stock ones available if you don't need the embroidory. For ~$60 including 2 cans of Krylon, it looks great!

I ordered one from the dealer today for $110. I just have difficulty with companies that never answer their phone or return calls, CARMOTORSPORTS ARE YOU LISTENING????
Besides, I read on the site that it would take about 4 weeks for delivery.

My local dealer said the same thing but they can do a search of other dealers inventory. He found a bunch of dealers that have thenon the shelf still, even mentioned one dealer that had 4 of them available.

I've had mine on for over a year (about 5000 miles) and looks like new.

About 3000 on mine and looks new. Their ad says it is washable.I'm in dusty Arizona now but this insulator stay clean. You won't be disappointed.New England MC has the factory mat. I bought that first but never used it because I liked the looks of the embroidery. First class work.

If you are dealing with carmotorsports.com then deal with Rich. Rich@carmotorsports.com I bought the very first one in the United States that carmotorsports made for the Goodmark Cowl Hood. Remember: Be patient Grasshopper, you are not the ONLY person these guys sell to.

grasshopper.... looking at my member # and your member #.......
Patience I have... for companies that deliver! But when I can never get a live person to answer the phone, or return a call I lose patience.... and the company loses a sale. I've tried at least a dozen times over the last 2 weeks to contact someone there, but I do admit I have only left messages a couple of times.

Hmmmm....that's a little high! as a matter of fact, that's a LOT high. The List price is $86.24. As of today there is no stock at GM. There was also no expected due date. This may end up as a discontinued part.
