After I painted my car last year I was not ready to poweder coat all my trim. So instead I sanded it all down andpainted it gloss black. The trim really looked good in gloss even though the paint was not perfect. I am having all my trim powder coated and now I am undecided whether to have it done in the flat satin finish or gloss.
What are some opinions, gloss or satin finish on the trim??

I like gloss on a black or burgandy (darker colored cars). Being white, I agree with Anthony, satin will "pop" better. JMHO

Like I always say though... it's YOUR car. Make sure YOU like what is done and the way it looks to you personally.

Draxx;
i got a call from the folks doing my powder coating and they told me that they cannot strip the trim pieces because of the anadized coating. I am going to be contacting a couple of other sources and see what I find out about stripping the trim pieces.

Last year I painted ll my trim with Chroma 1 single stage gloss black and they turned out very nice. The Chroma 1 is a very hard catalyzed finish. I wouldleave them like that but I do want to get them back to a matte finish. The Chroma 1 should make for a very good base coat though. I've had very good luck with SEM matte black and its probably what I will use to repaint these pieces.
