I just got my new wheels yesterday, the ZQ8 wheels from GM. I was wondering if I should do anything to them (like coat them or something) before I have the wheels mounted on them. Any suggestions?

I would say if you want to do anything, just wax them. That sealer is meant for bare metals so it wouldn't do much for a clearcoated wheel I wouldn't think.

If they are clear coated wheels then just use a sealant type polish. Not wax or carnuba as they have no durability at all. If no clear coat then I would use the Zoop.

Thanks for the suggestions. I got a Mothers Powerball as a gift and gonna use that with some sort of polish.

Be carefull! You can screw up wheel clear coat faster than you can say SOB!
Then you'll be ordering that stuff from Eastwood to rehab a new set of wheels.
Personnally, I would just keep them clean.

My dad bought the wrong wheel cleaner once and it destroyed the clear coat on his wheels on his Caddy. He was sick about it until the day he traded it in.
