Hi all, I ma not good with electronics at all, worse than painting. How can you tap into the light switch so that when you turn your headlights on, the guage lights come on as well? I had it hotwired to the radio so that whenever the car was on th elights were on. I'd like to fix this thank you.

Anthony

Behind the ash tray there is a dash light tap into that and it should work. Also the wires for the light are pos and neg. HTH

Anthony,
Your dash lights should be a green wire. Look for any wire that goes to one of your lights that comne on with the parking lights, ashtray light might be the easiest. Then trace that wire back a ways and you should find an open terminal to connect to. An alternate way is to just plice in a scotchlock connector onto an existing wire.

Ugh, guys, I will have to look, but my car was pre-butchered before I got her. A good friend reinstalled my stock factory radio It works, he grounded th enegative but was afraid of the positive until I had the car back running. Are you guys refering to the dash light behind the ashtray---is that light torpedo shaped??? Draxx, you know your interiors, but I have an 84 lil diff ash tray, is it still the same??? Thank you all, I will print this thread and see if I can find it tomorrow. You guys were helpful, because when it comes to Math and electric, aI am a dunce...

Hey Anthony,
get your fans and head over this way this weekend, It'll take all of a couple of hours to get you hooked up. If you dont get your fans it will take all of about 30 minutes to hook your lights up (and thats if I'm hung over)

Draxx, sorry diude, your a little far right now.
