The cruise on my Malibu is acting up. Its the older style with a transducer mounted on the LH inner fender, not the electronic style most SS's have.

Problem is this: The cruise will engage but will not hold a set speed. Set it at 70mph and it will fall to 50 or so then run up to 80 or so. I've already tried swapping the transducer and checking for vacuum leaks, nothing changed. Any ideas? TIA

not sure on your type of cruise, they way I figured mine out was by going to Chevy and getting copies of the cruise system and then determining what each part's function was, by process of elimination I found out what was wrong with mine. Not much help, but understanding what each part does makes it alot easier to figure out.
