First pass - almost put it sideways and had to back down.

Second pass I really grandpa'd it off the line, 60' of 2.85, and ran a 14.4 @ 99.8 mph.

The 255/60 tires gotta go.

Isn't that a high MPH for 14.4!!

With better traction, the 13's she will be!

Great run anyhow!!

Man, those street tires gotta go, you really need dr's and a posi if you dont already have one. Ge the 60' to like a 2.0-1.8 and you might be in the low 13's. with a sucky launch you may still have a lot more mph in that combo. Maby high 12's? cheers!

he said it almost took it sideways, sig says auburn...there is a posi in there. were you letting it auto shift or bumping it? I dont neccessarily think that 12's or high 12's will come of a better launch but im thinking maybe mid/mid-low 13's.

If you can muster 101-102mph, you CAN hit high 12's.

Lowering your 60 ft times isnt nearly as beneficial for MPH as it is for ET. MPH may not change much, but getting better short times will get you some solid 13s for sure!

high mph shows that the car is really making up all of it's time at the end of the track, and has a better ET to offer you if you get the 60 foot time down.. back when I had a 305 with 255/70r14s on with a mild cam/intake, I ran 14.5s @ 95 mph with 2.3 second 60 foot times. get some street slicks for it, and get it into the 13s!

what was your 660 ft time??? high 8s I hope?

There is no such thing as too much horsepower, as long as you can put it to the ground!!

Sparkee - thanks for the thought. Any clue how much difference that 2 inch circumference would make? Would 275s be like going from 373 gears to 364?? (85/87x373=364)

SMITHFOG: What cam are you running? Reason I ask is I just ran 13.43@101mph with 882 heads, xe274 cam and the same TH350/3000 stall/3.73 gears you have. Actually just sold some RPM heads too, kinda wish I had them back now. My 60ft time was 2.0 on a set of Hoosier Quick Times.

200kSS,
The cam is a mild Summit 1107
234/244 Duration
488/510 Lift
114 Seo

Pretty mild, but very streetable.

Next time motor comes apart, the cam will probably get replaced.

First project is new Mickey Thompson ET's I just ordered. I would be very pleased with a 2.0 60foot.
