I have to overhaul my driver's door window control, the rollers or bushings are shot.
Mr Random on YouTube its not my first choice, so I thought I'd ask here if there is a decent procedural tutorial on glass removal and realignment.

Rick, I think your first stop is to get a shop manual for the year of your car. It is very helpful. I recently was inside my driver's door. The regulator has 4 rivets to secure it to the door frame. Three had sheared off. The shop manual was a good guide to figure what I had to do. I was thinking of replacing the glass, because of deep scratches, but I was not comfortable with the steps required to get it out.

Once you get the shop manual, you may find out that you can do the work needed without removing the glass. When I did my work I had the window fully raised most of the time. I kept it up by installing a wooden wedge between the door frame and interior of the glass. I also used two large suction cups to help keep the glass up while I removed/installed the motor.

Also, there is another document that was very helpful. The document is "How to Eliminate Window Rattles and Wind Noise" by Pete Serio. I got it many years ago from Denis Kirban on the internet. The book has great information about the inside of the G-Body door concerning window adjustments.

Good luck,
Fred

I'm not sure if yours is hand crank or electric. Here's the bolts, screws, and rivets I found when replacing my window stuff and motor. (mine is electric).

I did both of my doors as well as replacing the window motors. I could not do it without a Fisher Body Service manual..found mine on ebay years ago.
Many sharp edges await as you dig around in the door guts, be careful.
With the advance of technology, I would be surprised if you couldn't upload one online.

I just ordered Fisher body manual and the Serio book as well...good info here. I bought an anti rattle window kit from Mike in the spring but haven't installed it yet.
