I'd like to pick up a Alltest Brainmaster Scanner off of eBay. There are several models; 3210, 3250, 3226 etc. Which model should I get for a 85 SS?
Thanks

I have a 3250, haven't used it in years, bought from Ebay 20 years ago. I'll look this weekend and see if the booklet is still in the plastic case. But I think the unit is pretty much self explanatory once you pick the correct function, which I believe was 82-85 Full Function. The small slide switch to the left (Columns) with 4 colors above it selects the numbered colored zones. The rotary switch in the center 1-12 selects which piece of info you want to look at.
In the White column, 5,6,7,11 Yellow 3,5,12 Orange 6,9,12 Red 1,3,,9,10
There is others selections that can help with the CCC but those are the primary for troubleshooting and adjusting. Always keep in mind data on a CCC is kinda like playing PONG when it first appeared in 1972. You can drive the car with the Brainmaster plugged and and see real time date but at Pong speed.
What Brent has done with his ability to see the info in real time and log it is big step in the right direction. Bob
