Just browsing Google Images it looks like a 4th gen Monte Carlo factory cold air intake picks up behind or under the passenger side headlights, whereas a Cutlass of the same vintage sucks from the driver side. For my 350 build I'm wondering if I could use the plumbing from both cars and fab a second snorkel onto my air cleaner, and end up with a dual cold air system that looks stock. If Oldsmobile's late 60s performance cars were any indication that setup should pull enough air for 325+ horsepower? I guess I'd just have to relocate the evap canister. Just spitballing here 🤔

It has been done. In fact, third gen Camaros with the L69 305 used a dual snorkel aircleaner that gave them 10 more hp over the MCSS version of the L69 with single snorkel aircleaner. The hard part will be finding another aircleaner, carb aircleaners are near impossible to find in junkyards now between carbed cars being rare and their aircleaners always being pulled by Ebay sellers.

I forgot about that, I wonder why our cars didn't have that feature? I already own two regular air cleaners so I guess I just gotta track down some ductwork. Should be interesting.

Our cars didn't have them because the manufacturer didn't get that emissions package certified for the Monte Carlo SS!!

All the parts long since discontinued, not sure if year-one or OPG is making anything. Did mine back in the day when the ZZ4 conversion kit was made.

I cut up 2 air cleaners. I just pop riveted the second intake on.

It looks good. Ive tried to find a older airfilter housing to rob the snorkel off of but its hard to find one or if you find one on internet its outragous price. Even harder to find the plastic air intake piece.
