Can some one post some good pics of their 1987 1988 engine bay?
Im looking to see about some wires that are not connected.
Also if mine was suppose to have a lamp light under the hood and the emissions decal.
Would help if your engine is still stock..
Thank you everyone if you can help.

I can take pictures of my 1987 engine bay. Specifically what part of the bay are you interested in?

Mine doesn't have a hood lamp.

You should have an emissions decal on the fan shroud.

So I have this plug that's not hooked up on the right.
And I have an orange wire connected to this relay switch box, not sure if it is one.
The orange wire believe leading out of the box is not connected to anything I think.
I posted many pics on my Flickr if you guys want to helpme find out where they go.

Is that an alarm kit under your steering column?

The relay is not OEM and may be part of that alarm; the harness appears to be heading towards the firewall. Have you traced the orange wire to see where it goes? Does it go to a horn? or some lights?

The tan wire with an open connector might be for the hood lamp. I don't have a hood lamp in my 1987. My 1986 is currently not easy to get to, so I can't look at the hood lamp wiring. Check if the tan wire is hot all the time. If so, it is likely for the hood lamp. Update: My 1986 shop manual shows the hood lamp is an orange wire. I suspect wire in your picture is also orange, not tan, because the wire leading from the relay also looks tan, but you said it is orange.

That green plug is not supposed to be connected to anything; it is for checking the mixture control solenoid dwell.
