The sun visor on my 86 SS is loose and falls down little by little after each bump I hit in the road until it is all the way down. Does anybody know the easiest fix?
Thanks

there is a screw that you can tighten? Have you had the sunvisor off the mount that attaches to the ceiling?? Coupe or TTop??

It is a t top. The fabric on the visors were just replaced along with the headliner, so yes the visor was removed a few weeks ago. Didn’t want to mess with anything and make it worse. Thanks for any input.

I have the same issue in my 1986. The screw for the clamp in the visor is tight. The problem is the stud spins in the visor bracket. I replaced one of them, now the other one is loose.

Here's the fix. https://gbodyparts.com/visor-swivel...?osCsid=c200d72126480244e86911089d0cd480
Remove screw, slide off visor, install clip, reinstall visor, reinstall screw, visor will/should now be tight

Thanks for that link Jon. At $2 a piece, that's a great solution. The order form said due to the size of the order (small) they would calculate shipping and contact me with a separate charge. Unfortunately their cart system wants to charge $17 minimum for shipping. I couldn't see any way to not get charged that, so cancelled the order.

If you take that bushing picture to a good hardware store, I'll bet you can find a substitute, good luck!

Wow, yeah my standard shipping comes up at 12.99, I know when I ordered my set it was with other items. I think they're the standard standard for gm vehicles listing 65-81, you can even find them on Amazon, summit..etc

Found them on ebay easily for a reasonable price, including the grommets with free shipping. $14.99 (plus tax) for two bushings and two grommets.
