How or where are the steps to post pictures on this forum? I have the Photoshop album that I know I can't use unless I pay their ransome price. I can move those pictures into my own personal file on my PC, but don't know how to post them onto this forum.
Thanks

The pictures have to have an associated web address, so they have to be posted somewhere else on the internet to be able to be seen here.

Im guessing you mean Photobucket.

Not sure if smug mug is free or not.

There is an extension for the google chrome browser (which everyone should use anyways) that bypasses photobuckets blocking of seeing images hosted on their site. Chrome extensions are painless to install. Like an iphone app.

Yep, there are plenty of places you can host for free and hotlink to sites like this. Not sure WTF Photobucket is thinking, other than a last-minute money grab before going belly up. I started using imgur, but then I found out that their terms of service don't allow hotlinking to classified ads, and that means that some forums that have a classified section are blocked.

You can always host right here on mcss.com! Click the album up top.

You people know, but I don't. Tried to transfer pictures from my PC to the forum picture album and it doesn't work, I'm missing a step.

I second imgur. Easy to use and does the job.

Uploadin to this site makes things easy but I think the pics are restricted by size. The large pics today’s cameras and phones take means you have to compress the pics and/or crop edges to enable uploading to this site. I have imgur but don’t use it much, I have to relearn how to use it every time - just doesn’t seem as intuitive as photobucket was.

Photobucket hit the can? Good riddance, it caused a lot of lost photos on important technical threads, that POS can hit the bucket as far as I am concerned.

They haven't died yet, but I was saying that maybe they were expecting to and decided to give it one last hurrah.

I too suck at image uploading, latest attempt was here.

Yep, and we had party lines where you counted the number of rings to determine if it was for your family.....
PB had a large customer base; quite a business/marketing asset. Something really traumatic must have happened for them to squander it all so quickly.
