Hello changing out the vortec heads for some blueprints. These heads accept my intake but not my self aligning roller rockers. They come with guide plates what do I need to do to use the rockers I have? Take the plates off and use spacers or spend more cash .

What brand are the new heads? If there aftermarket call the company that made them.

Spend more cash on non-self aligning rockers.

Are they roller rockers? Just remove the disc that centers them on the valve

Yes they are sa roller rockers

I think you answered your own question. Measure the thickness of the guide plate and find harden washers or just cut off the guide of the guide plate that are on the new heads. Either way you still have to R&I the rocker studs.
