So i have a question for you guys.....How much work would be involved in installing a Buick 455ci?

I have a 1987 Monte Carlo SS 305ci right now with a mild 400hp 350ci.

If you're keeping all the CCC stuff, then quite a bit. If you're getting rid of all that, then the swap is pretty simple- an engine is an engine. A Little less room with a "big block".
I wouldnt do it unless that 455 is for free. I'd rather spend the money and go 454 or 502 bbc.

The engine is built and 1500$, the 350ci I have now is a non cc carb, cam, ditrubutor. Not sure what else the comp controls but I've eliminated those 3 things

If you have AC, the 455 might and probably will mean removal of the evaporator case. Other tight fit questions will be exhaust routing, brake booster and steering shaft.
A BOP bellhousing or adaptor on the trans might be needed too. Not a common swap so you might be fabricating stuff instead of buying things from Summit or Jegs.
If you make it fit, the Buick will be a low rpm torque monster.

You can use common 3.8 frame mounts from a regal or cutlass, adapter for the bellhousing or a different transmission. The A/C box will fit just as tight as a BBC. If you use the stock power steering pump from the Buick you will need the line adaptors for the high pressure line, A body headers will fit a monte with some slight clearancing.
This is a pretty common swap into mid 80's regals, very little difference to a monte.

The 455 should bolt straight to the 200-4R trans...and kill it in short order if you like the gas pedal and you don't change some of the guts inside.

The 200-4r needs no adapter!
