I currently installed my ls motor with Holley mounts and crossmember but I am unable to get the transmission to bolt to the crossmember... so I was wondering people that have used the Holley brand mounts and crossmember. Do you guess have the frame mounts bolt where one of the hole on the frame mounts will hang off the edge?

What transmission are you using with your ls swap? I know I have the 4l60e and I had to order the rubber mount that goes on the transmission but that's all I needed. If your Monte is a older 80's like 80-83 I believe you may need the frame extension for your crossmember. You should be able to call Holley and give you a hand with your transmission issue if I ever figure out how to post a picture on this forum I'll post some pictures of mine soon.

How close is it to bolting up? Is it not lining up enough to start a bolt, or is it 6" away from where it should be?

It ain't much off the line, but it's nice on the highway

It seem like the motor and trans is prob a couple inches forward instead of back. I looked at the instructions for the Holley mounts it says you have to move the frame mounts back to a different hole from the original postion

Can your motor mounts move to a different hole further ahead on engine block? I'm sure you got it right but it doesn't hurt to double check you're mount location as there are a couple spots you can mount the motor mounts

The Holley kit requires you to move the frame mounts further back from sbc location.

Hey did you buy a new driveshaft or shorten the stock one? If so can you let me know your measurements so I can have my driveshaft shorten? Please and thank you

I had a shop shorten my stock driveshaft. Measurements could be slightly different so I'd suggest using a driveshaft length measuring guide. I gave these measurements to the shop and all was good. I will see if I can find the guide I used.
This is it.
