Ever wonder what happened to that old car of yours? Where did it end up, who owns it now, or if it's still on the road? My first brand new car was an 87 Monte SS. Loved it, but had to let it go in 93. This very nice older gentlemen bought the Monte (see pictures) in Fort Myers Fla. Fast forward 23 years to today, a friend ran a "Car Facts" on my old VIN# 1g1gz11g6HP151622 and discovered someone in Columbus Ohio still keeps it registered and valid (don't know name or address). It made me smile to know it's still on the road. Don't know if I'd smile by see the condition it "might be" in today If anyone knows of a Black 87 SS with Grey buckets and C&C aftermarket T-Tops in the Columbus OH area, I'd love to know if it's still in good shape.

I can't help either but I'd guess that it is still in good enough condition since it is still being registered. Most people don't waste the money on registering a car that is rotting away in the weeds. Post the VIN, maybe someone on here owns it but doesn't know the history of the car to make the connection.
Edit: sorry I see you already posted the VIN.

Maybe some members in that area know of it or could help spot it. If still being registered it must be at least in ok shape I'd guess. C&C t-tops would be the easy way to pick it out.

Thanks Carl. Here are some picture I posted at the beginning of this thread before Photobucket changed their policy. I had the same experience. Kept in touch with the new owner for several years but this gentleman was in his 70's when he bought my car back in 93. He would now be in his mid to late 90's today. I have the Ohio Title number from the Ohio DMV VIN check website BUT do to privacy laws they will not give out any additional info. If the car is still in perfect shape, I wanted to give the new owner the second pair of original keys I still have along with pictures and video's I have. I'll keep everyone posted if I have luck. It’s interesting how many threads we have going of the same thing. I actually looked up the guy I bought my SS from, he now lives in Houston, found him on FB. Thought about contacting him but he only owned it one year, doubt he was too emotionally attached to it.
Years ago I found the name of the original owner and tried to contact him, back before social media. He worked for GM and ordered it, lived in Flint but I’m sure has moved, etc. Never know if they’d care or not.

I sold my black 87 ten+ years ago to a guy from New York. 4 years later it popped up for sale with the same miles I sold it at. The next owner contacted me and I ran into him at Carlisle, PA. He showed me the awards he had for the car which were the same ones I gave to the guy that bought it from me. Last year I got a call from a Street Side Classics, they had the car on consignment in Arizona. They were looking for any history on the to help validate the condition. I looked it up and while still in good shape, the under carriage was no longer detailed and the headliner was drooping. A year ago I sold my 84 to a guy from Kentucky, he recently sent me a picture of it in his garage.
85 - ZZ383, 6-speed, 8.5" 70 - Stock, 35k miles. Scratch that, no longer stock.

Regarding my original post above, I was excited to see CARFAX still showed active registration on my old Monte - VIN 1G1GZ11G6HP151622. I figured with Social Media and having C&C T-tops that car would surface somewhere or somehow, but nothing so far. CARFAX and DMVs do not reveal owners name or address due to privacy laws. So in he meantime I continue to "zoom in" on all 87 MCSS pictures with C&C T-tops on the internet.
