Brought her home last weekend. I have a lot of work to do, but the foundation is solid - no rot that I can find, and that's what was most important to me - here in New England, it's hard to find one that's both rust-free and affordable.

Smells faintly of old cigarette smoke and strongly of gasoline when running, needs a few dings repaired, needs a flip-up sunroof removed and a patch panel welded in its place, new headliner after that, and various other little stuff. Typical steering column play, I'll have to open it up and use thread locker on the culprit screws. The car currently has the hood (with non-functional reverse scoop) from a Choo Choo El Camino SS, which I'll be swapping back to a stock Monte hood or maybe a 2" cowl hood. I have a spare nose I'll swap on as well, the current one is a little warped. Paint job will be very dark silver metallic with black or lighter silver racing stripes when all the other stuff is done.

Motor, as far as I can tell, is the original 305, although someone did a true dual system with long tube headers, cats and mufflers, an intake, and who-knows-what-else to the motor. I was told it has a 600cfm carb, haven't looked for myself yet. Cam and heads are probably stock, won't be sure until I check though. The exhaust job is funny, they directly welded what looks like 2.5" header collectors to the rest of the system, which looks like about 1.75" pipe, without any kind of reducer I can see - they just gooped on material until it held, I guess. I'll replace the exhaust header-back when I get a chance, but it's good enough for now.

I have the factory build sheet which indicates some decent options such as the posi rear and an option group including power everything. I'll add a picture of that to this post another time.

Definitely up for anti-theft suggestions. This'll never be a show car, I'm aiming to keep it low-key, but I know thieves are all over these things, and I want to do what I can to avoid putting in an insurance claim due to theft.

Thanks for looking smile

I have a roof section if you need one and I'm right down the road from you.

I did get it in Derby, it lives in Southington now. Know much about the car? I'm definitely looking for a roof, not interested in the flip-up sunroof on this thing.

I know the car, it was about 10 minutes from me. I know the previous owner needed a trans for it a few years back....

Huh, guess I never updated this. I did buy the roof from Aeroaddict, and it's on the car. The rest of the car is almost done being stripped, and I just ordered a new nose and headliner from Mike's. Hopefully it'll be in primer in the next couple weeks. Gotta decide on LS swap vs something like https://blueprintengines.com/collec...rate-engines/products/gm355-base-engine2 - not sure yet which way to go.
