Regarding the rotors, Ron is recommending the slotted rotors for our applications...not the drilled rotors, especially if you plan on ANY road course action.
Basically the real draw of these more stout calipers with larger piston area and less flex than other brands is those of us that drive on the street as well as track our cars can run a much less aggressive pad with the same or even better brake force without all the noise, dust, and abrasive wear on the very expensive rotors that the hard core pads most run with their Wilwood and Baer setups use.
There were several inquiries about just this at the seminar yesterday from some high end drivers currently running the other products. It is enticing to many in the sport even given the price. Like I said above though, if you aren't racing your car...regularly...these might not be the kits for you.
