Monte is ready again, just got new radiator, coolant hoses and the heater thing for the inside (the thing that likes to leak into the passenger side

Yesterday I kind of scored big time as I found a NOS Delco Radio, still in the original packaging for 50 Euros, which is significantly cheaper than repairing the tape deck of my old system :))

@Pit: 87 bumper ???, where's the difference to a 86 one ?

I meanwhile know that this car must have been directly ordered for a customer by a German dealer, this model was never intended to be sold officially in Germany,
But that's it. Opel/GM Germany can't and won't help anymore as they don't deal with anything Chevrolet anymore.
Will pass soon by a very long time and well known US-Cars Dealer here in Munich, maybe he sold it in 1986.

little update:

the long time dealer here in Munich at once discovered a "Gary Fronrath-Preferred Customer" Sticker, did have a look in my Papers and after a little laugh, came to the conclusion that....

The car was first ordered and owned in the US, bought at fronrath's in Florida form 1986 to 1989.
Then it came over the pond and was registered with a "wrong" first registation date in Germany as of May, 1986 to save the original US-Lighting and to save costs for changing all the lights, etc

(hidden in the papers is a special permission by the local Government dating from 1989 that legalizes the car as it is; things like that were possible in these years when one had the right friends)

I have no clue if can get any info about this car's first life in the US, but will try....

Maye anyone can help. I tried carfax but don't get any results ???
