Not bad but I guess you need to have extra shrink wrap couplers in case you need to remove the hose.

Buy one for a 1976 Trans am. That's what I always ran on many other builds. They fit great and look much cleaner withouit all those extra bends.

See Jason onebadbowtie thread with the 383, I believe he used one too after seeing mine.

Enjoy life, family first!

I use that now. Just looking to make it more custom without being to over the top. I do like the Hose candy black sleeve but not sure I want to do away with the clamps. Love the clean look of the shrink coupler but concerned that for some reason I need to remove the hose. Even if I carry extra shrink couplers not likely I'm going to have a heat gun handy on the road. I wonder if you could use a clamp if you had to in an emergency situation?

I'd think you could use a regular hose clamp in a roadside emergency situation, but I can't say for sure. Also, I don't know how much heat is needed to shrink the tubing, but would it be an option to install a heat shrink clamp over the hose attached to the radiator, then leave the cap loose (no pressure in the system) until the car warms up, using the heat of the coolant to shrink the tubing? I've done something similar with electrical heat shrink before, getting it in place and letting engine/component heat get it the rest of the way. Just a thought.
