Hi Guys. In the process of changing out the horrible Professional products manifold the previous owner installed. The oil pressure sensor located behind the distributor I believe is for the computer to operate the choke. I have a Holley Street Avenger with a 12v power source from the fuse box to run the electric choke so I am wondering if I can just plug that sensor port? Thanks.

The best thing to do is use that pressure switch to power the electric choke. The choke would only see voltage when the engine is running/has oil pressure. By having power directly from the fuse box as soon as the key is turned to ON power goes to the choke heating it even if the engine is not running. For most this isn't a problem. For me I prefer to use the pressure switch.

And yes, you could just put a pipe plug in that port next to the distributor.

Unintended benefit - lol. I also have 12V to the choke anytime in Run, the harness connector for the switch is jumpered. I was leaving a car show one time and I just happened to leave the key in the run position w/o starting the engine (my old 408) while I chatted with a friend. When I finally started it, the mild cammed 408 sounded like a really lopey race cam, since the choke was open, but the engine was still cool. Kinda funny, but I'll admit I've done it intentionally a few times since then. wink
