Looking to re-coat my headers. I do remember way back that there was a different company/product other than Jet Hot that was said to be better by people.
Can anybody help me out with this?

You are talking about NitroPlate in Nashville, but they no longer service the public. You have to be a company to deal with them now.

Didn't know of NitroPlate, but that's not the company I'm trying to remember.

There is a company who was the pioneer in ceramic coating technology and was responsible for assisting in development of the space shuttles' heat shields and was also involved with helping Smokey Yunick with "experimental" internal coatings for his Hot Vapor Iron Duke 4 cyl. Fiero. Swain Tech is the name of the company-they still offer coatings and you can send off a variety of engine components for their ceramic coating service. They're still located in Florida....I did quite a bit of research on them when I was gathering info on my water fuel engine work.

I knew there was a place in CT but forgot their name. Was it in Stanford?

We've used them on several projects. I've also had Jet Hot coated headers, and QC is miles above what I had from Jet Hot
