I have electric fans from an early Dodge Intrepid with one big and small motor installed on my car.
Is there a difference in using later model Intrepid fans or the Ram Charger fans?

I have the Ramcharger fans available, and they are from a Later Model Intrepid, but the wiring harness is custom made.

I'm using the ramcharger fan with my TPI swap. I also have an older style intrepid fan stored in the attic. I think the later style (ramcharger) fan flows slightly more than the earlier style. The wiring for the ramchager fan is completely different. The ramcharger fan has 4 wires, 2 ground + 2 hot. Apply 12v+ to either power wire and you get low speed. Apply 12v+ to both power wires at the same time and you get high speed. I'm using a relay setup from Gmachinz.

The later style fans have a nicer look to them. I also have provisions for using a single BMW dual temp switch with an adapter bushing instead of having to run (2) separate GM style temp switches. I machine my own bushings for them since the only other ones available are $22+ each which imo is a ludicrous price for a simple adapter. There's many ways to configure a harness for these fans to allow them to really perform well.

What year did the Intrepid fans go to two small motors? And the year Ram Charger fans started?

I think my fans are from a 97 Intrepid and with a jegs electric fan relay kit with 180 degree temp switch. It works great.

The later ramcharger style fans are for the second generation Chrysler LH body 98-04. 97 was the last year for the first gen, so I'm not sure if they got the newer fan set up, but all 98-04 will have them.
